Itinerary : Ivato – Antananarivo – Miandrivazo – Kirindy – Bekopaka – Morondava – Belo sur Mer –Morondava – Antsirabe – Antananarivo

With this tour you will discover the Tsingy of Bemaraha, an integral nature reserve located about 230 kilometers of track in the north of Morondava. Tsingy literally means “walking on tiptoe”. Along the way you will pass by the avenue of baobabs, Baobabs in love and the sacred baobab.

Day 1: Transfer Ivato – Hotel


Upon arrival at the airport, iChtus Tour Team will lead you to your hotel in the capital.

Day 2: Antananarivo – Antsirabe – Miandrivazo


Departure from Tanà to Miandrivazo, after breakfast you will take the national road 7. En route, you will visit the workshop of aluminum pot in Ambatolampy, and the town of Antsirabe also called city of water, this town is well known for its rickwhaw the most commonly used mode of transport in the city, for its several buildings date back to the first decades of the 20th century and for the volcanic lake Tritriva, a popular tourist attraction. You will arrive in Miandrivazo in the end of afternoon.

Day 3: Miandrivazo – Morondava


Departure from Miandrivazo early in the morning to reach Morondava. You will see your first baobab on the way to Morondava, this city is famous for the spectacular avenue of baobabs, 800 years old trees along the road to Belo sur Tsiribihina.

Day 4: Morondava – Bekopaka


Before your departure to Bekopaka, in the north of Morondava, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the avenue of baobabs. You will take two barges to reach Bekopaka, the first at Tsimafana, you will cross the river Tsiribihina on a barge, and the second when you arrive in Bekopaka, you will be there by the end of the afternoon.

Day 5 : Bekopaka – Tsingy of Bemaraha – Bekopaka


Early in the morning, you will visit the famous Tsingy of Bemaraha, a national park located in Melaky Region, about 18km of tracks for one hour and half drive from your hotel. The park covers 157 710 hectares, you can observe lemurs, Aye aye, Hapalemur griseus… The Tsingy is characterized by needle-shape limestone formations, the word “Tsingy” means “the place where one cannot walk barefoot”. You can also find 650 types of plants. Back to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 6 : Bekopaka – Morondava


You leave Bekopaka around 7.00 o’clock to reach Morondava in the evening passing by the sacred baobab, the baobabs in love and the famous avenue of baobabs where you will spend several minutes for the sunset behind the giant baobabs.

Day 7 : Morondava – Belo sur Mer


You will leave Morondava in the morning, Belo sur Mer is just hundred kilometers from the city. Belo sur Mer is a town and commune in Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Morondava, which is a part of Menabe Region. The city is well known for its builders of dhows, traditional sailing boats.

Day 8 : Belo sur Mer


Free day to enjoy the beach of Belo Sur Mer, boat trip, snorkeling, visit of the fisher’s man village. It is well known for its boatbuildersof traditional wooden dhows.

Day 9 : Belo sur Mer - Morondava


Go back to Morondava for a night.

Day 10 : Morondava – Antsirabe


Departure from Morondava after the breakfast to reach Antsirabe.

Day 11 : Antsirabe – Antananarivo


Visit Antsirabe, also called cityof water, before going back to the capital. Antsirabe The city has several buildings date back to the first decades of the 20th Century. It is also well known for the volcanic Lake Tritriva. According to legend, a couple of lovers committed suicide in this place because their union was rejected by their parents due to the difference in social class between the two lovers, several days after this suicide, two trees came to birth, people believe that this was the symbol of love between the two lovers, until death do them apart.
